Delaware Association of Grantmakers
In order to promote greater philanthropic practice
in Delaware, the Delaware Community Foundation has taken a lead role
in the Delaware Association of Grantmakers. The DCF currently
provides the staff time and support to carry out DAG’s operations.
Purpose of DAG:
To serve philanthropic grantmaking organizations in
the State of Delaware by:

promoting effective philanthropic practice
-
facilitating information exchange
-
providing workshops and seminars
-
identifying and discussing issues related to
community problems and philanthropy
DAG does not do any of the following:

authorize grants for any purpose whatsoever,
-
attempt to influence the grantmaking decisions of
any philanthropic grantmaking organizations
-
endorse, support or promote the activities of any
grantseeking organization
Membership is open to:
-
Any charitable organization, foundation or trust
for which the principal function is the awarding of grants
totaling $50,000 or more a year within the state of Delaware.

Any corporation, partnership, or business with an
identifiable charitable contributions program granting $50,000 or
more annually within the state of Delaware.
Other information:

Meetings are held twice a year (Spring and Fall)
at various locations throughout New Castle County. The Fall 2001
meeting was held in conjunction with a larger symposium on
Philanthropy and the Black Church.

There are no membership dues at the present time.
