People who care about Delaware's quality of life
—
now and in the future
— are making a difference by establishing
charitable funds at the Delaware Community Foundation. We help
individuals, families, businesses and organizations carry out their
charitable planning and giving in a way that works for their own
financial circumstances and philanthropic goals.
Are you considering starting a
donor advised fund because you want to remain actively
involved in suggesting uses for your gift? Or, would you prefer to
establish an
unrestricted fund
so that your gift may meet ever-changing community needs? How about
showing deserving students you care
by opening a
scholarship fund?
You can choose from a number of
types of
charitable funds that can be established for as little as $10,000.
We can help you
plan your
legacy to support the causes that matter to you for
generations to come; providing you with tax savings now or in some
cases, income for life. If you are new to charitable giving, our
Fund
Builder program can help you
get started for a nominal investment.
Our
Fund For Women,
African American Empowerment of Delaware,
The Next Generation and
Youth Philanthropy Boards all
demonstrate the power of collective giving and philanthropy in supporting the
causes they care about, and offer opportunities for community
involvement.
You can create a special fund that
provides continuing support for a community initiative like the
Governor's Consortium on Hispanic Affairs. The
Arsht-Cannon Fund,
endowed by the late Honorable Roxana and Samuel
Arsht
and under advisement by their daughter Adrienne Arsht, supports
studies, projects and grants that address the greatest unmet needs
of Hispanic Delawareans.
Nearly 200 nonprofit organizations have established
endowment funds with the Delaware Community Foundation. The Arts
Consortium of Delaware (ArtCo) built a $21.5 million endowment and
placed it at the Delaware Community Foundation as the
Delaware
Arts Stabilization Fund to provide
long-term stability arts organizations throughout the First State.
The
Rodel Foundation of Delaware,
a supporting organization of the Delaware Community Foundation,
focuses on improving public policy, supporting best practices, and
engaging the public in improving education.
We offer a variety of giving opportunities and can
help you develop what will work best for you. Please feel free to
contact us to arrange for a
personal one-on-one consultation.
