Donor-Advised Funds

A Donor-Advised Fund at the DCF provides donors with a way to involve their families in philanthropy and gives them many of the advantages of a private foundation, without the administrative responsibilities.  The advisors recommend grants to causes that are important to them, and they are awarded by the DCF, subject to approval by the DCF Board of Directors.

Donor-Advised Funds can be advised by individuals, families or a committee.  They are listed in the annual report as funds that support grants recommended by fund advisors.
