
Contributing to the Fund
THE FUND FOR WOMEN IS FOR EVERY DELAWAREAN.
Donations may be made anytime and in any amount. All contributions to THE FUND are tax deductible and are acknowledged in writing by the Delaware Community Foundation on behalf of the Fund for Women.

se of giving, we have established the following categories of contributions.TYPES OF CONTRIBUTIONS
FRIENDS
Gifts contributed as a thank you for an occasion, a get-well wish, or a special
birthday wish, are included in a category called FRIENDS. (When you make a contribution and wish to give it as a gift, a note is sent to the recipient from the Delaware Community Foundation informing the recipient of this gift).Contributions in this category range from $1 to $999.00 annually.
FOUNDER
The first 1,000 women making gifts of $1,000 or more will be permanently recognized as a Founder of THE FUND. To be listed as a Founder, THE FUND asks for a ONE TIME GIFT, a minimum of $1,000 payable over FIVE YEARS or in one lump sum.
Men may donate a minimum of $1,000 in this category, in memory of a female
friend or relative or in honor of a female friend or relative's accomplishments. The female's name will be listed as the FOUNDER.ASSOCIATE FOUNDER
Men giving a gift of a $1,000 or more who wish to have their name listed.
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONAL FOUNDER
Non-profit organizations giving a gift of a minimum of $1,000. Examples are Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority-Wilmington Chapter, Beekhuis Foundation, Forum of Executive Women, Junior League of Wilmington, Swingin' With A Star, and The Links, Inc.-Wilmington Chapter.
CORPORATE ORGANIZATIONAL FOUNDER
Corporations or businesses giving a gift of a minimum of $5,000 annually. Examples are Astra Zeneca, Discover Bank and MBNA.
NAMED FUND
An unrestricted fund may be established within THE FUND for a minimum of $10,000. The Sally J. Knox Memorial Fund, the Marjory Stone Memorial Fund, the Clara Miller Fund, the Betsy Rawls Fund, Lynn Friess Fund and the Leadership Fund are examples of named funds.
SPECIFIC PURPOSE
A restricted or special purpose fund may be established within THE FUND for a minimum of $50,000.
HOW DO I MAKE A CONTRIBUTION?
Make an outright one-time cash gift.
Make an outright gift of securities.

Pledge over a period of up to FIVE YEARS for contributions one thousand dollars and above. Contributions received early on are the most appreciated.
