To achieve our mission of inspiring and helping people
of all backgrounds and means to create lasting legacies to benefit the
people of Delaware, the Delaware Community Foundation offers a variety
of giving opportunities for individuals, families, businesses and
organizations. Please consider the following ways of giving, in addition
to or in place of establishing a charitable fund of your own.
You may contribute to most DCF funds with a gift of any
size. Make your tax-deductible check payable to the Delaware Community
Foundation and send it to P.O. Box 1636, Wilmington, DE 19899. You will
receive a receipt and an acknowledgement of your gift, and a letter will
be sent to the appropriate person when a gift is made in someone’s honor

Delaware Legacy Fund
This fund accepts gifts of any size as unrestricted
endowment. The DCF Board of Directors, upon the recommendation of the
Grants Committee, directs the resources from this fund to meet the
community’s most pressing needs as they emerge and change over time.
Field-of-Interest Funds
You may make a gift in any amount to one of the six
established DCF Field-of-Interest Funds:
The DCF Board of Directors, upon the recommendation of
the Grants Committee, will direct the resources from these funds to meet
community needs within the specific area of interest.
DCF Memorial Fund
This fund was established to accept and acknowledge
memorial donations, giving you the opportunity to honor the memory of
your loved ones while supporting the Delaware Community Foundation.
Nonprofit, scholarship and other funds
Your donations are welcome at any time and in any amount
to these funds. Gifts may be made in honor or in memory of a friend,
family member or co-worker.
Friends and Corporate Sponsor Programs
Individuals and businesses in the community are invited
to support the DCF’s annual campaign to raise funds for operating
expenses. When funding for operations is secure, the Foundation is able
to focus on building resources and addressing important issues. Please

Fund for Women
You may become a Fund for Women Founder with a donation
or pledge of $1,000. You may also
make a donation in any amount to the
Fund for Women or any of its related funds to support its
grantmaking programs.
Please send your donation to The Fund for Women, Delaware Community
Foundation, P.O. Box 1636, Wilmington, DE 19899. Make your check payable
to Delaware Community Foundation and enclose a note that includes
information about your donation and which of the funds you are
supporting.
