Ways To Give

The Next Generation (TNG) is a philanthropic organization whose mission is to develop young professionals into effective nonprofit board leaders. A Giving Circle of the Delaware Community Foundation, TNG's northern and southern chapters engage members in hands-on fundraising, grantmaking, community outreach, education and endowment building. Please see our organizational overview for more information. About TNG North Established in 2004, TNG is building an endowed fund at the DCF to generate money for charitable grants for decades to come. Over the past nine years, TNG North has awarded more than $190,000 in grants in support of initiatives that address underlying social challenges faced by the most vulnerable Delawareans. TNG North is currently focused on supporting programs that promote Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics education. About TNG South TNG South launched in 2012 and is now accepting applications for its inaugural grants! (See below for more information.) TNG South is currently focused on supporting programs that provide mental health services for children. Please join us! Contact Nancy Crake in New Castle County, or Molly King in Southern Delaware.

>	LAURISA SCHUTT TO SPEAK AT NEXT TNG NORTH MEETING Laurisa Schutt, executive director of Teach for America - Delaware, will speak at TNG North's May meeting. Interested in attending? Please contact Nancy Crake.
>	TNG NORTH AWARDS $37,000 IN GRANTS TNG North recently awarded $37,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations providing childhood obesity prevention programs through the state. The grant focus area for 2013-14 is Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) education programs.
*What's New with TNG SOUTH?*
>	GRANT APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE TNG South is seeking nonprofit agencies providing child mental health services in Kent and Sussex Counties to apply for its inaugural grants. Applications and guidelines are now available. The deadline is July 1, 2013. Additional information is available by contacting Beccy Cooper at 302.674.2111.
>	5K RUN/WALK & FITNESS CHALLENGE: May 10 TNG South invites you to join us for the Crossfit Dover 5K Run/Walk and Fitness Challenge 1.5 Mile Run on May 10. Funds raised from this event will support grants for programs providing children's mental health services. Register today!
