These grants support innovative programs that address our state's most pressing needs and promising opportunities.

Fund for Women


Statewide.
Programs relating to health, wellness and life skills that lead to future economic self-sufficiency for girls and women in Delaware.
2015 applications will be accepted between Jan. 1 and Jan. 30.

Fund for Children's Literacy

Children’s literacy in public schools in the Brandywine, Christiana, Colonial and Red Clay school districts. Priority pre-K through 3rd grade.

Collaborative grants

Initiatives in which two or more nonprofit agencies within a single county work together to maximize their collective capabilities.

The Next Generation
- Northern Delaware

Programs supporting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) K12.


The 2014 cycle is now closed. 2015 applications will be available summer 2015.
 

The Next Generation
- Southern Delaware

Programs serving Kent & Sussex County.

Next Gen South is currently raising money to support programs for child mental health services and programs including, but not limited to, victims of abuse, suicide prevention, anti-bullying efforts and to combat teen dating violence. The merits and execution of each program will determine grant selection.

The 2014 cycle is now closed. 2015 applications will be available in spring 2015.

 

Kent County Fund for the Arts

 

Kent County.

The Kent County Fund for the Arts will award about $15,000 in grants in 2014. Applications are now being accepted from schools, clubs, and civic/community organizations for programs that help to foster growth of arts organizations in Kent County, as well as those organizations that support the arts.

The 2014 cycle is now closed. 2015 applications will be available in late 2014.

The Delaware Community Foundation's Grants Committee oversees all grantmaking, subject to approval of the Board of Directors. The Foundation awards grants for charitable purposes to nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation issued by the Internal Revenue Service. Agencies receiving Foundation grants must serve the State of Delaware and its residents without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, age, disability, national origin or sexual orientation.
