In addition to opening a fund with the Delaware
Community Foundation, there are many ways you can help address
community needs in the First State. You can join others with a
shared area of interest through our Collective Giving circles, Special Funds and Coalition
Initiatives. You'll find each one of these avenues will
offer you the ability to become involved in local
philanthropy, in an affordable way.
Our Fund For Women, African American Empowerment of Delaware, The Next Generation and Youth Philanthropy Boards
all demonstrate the power of Collective Giving and
philanthropy in supporting the causes they care about. For more
information about our giving circles, simply click on the name to go
directly to their webpage.
Special funds
provide continuing support for community initiatives, like the
Governor's Consortium on Hispanic Affairs supported
by the
Arsht-Cannon Fund,
endowed by the late Honorable Roxana and Samuel
Arsht
and under advisement by their daughter Adrienne Arsht. The
Governor's Consortium supports
studies, projects and grants that address the greatest unmet needs
of Hispanic Delawareans.
The Foundation's program grants support Coalition Initiatives
that are created to address current community needs through the
collaboration of state agencies, nonprofit organizations and
concerned citizens, like you. This year's initiatives include
Delaware's Anti-Hunger Coalition and the Delaware Lifespan
Respite Network. For more information on these initiatives,
please contact Beth Bouchelle, Director of Grants by calling
