The Delaware Community Foundation is pleased to welcome Joyce Darling as vice president for finance and administration.

Darling previously worked for the DCF from 2013-2015, first as an accountant and then as director of finance, leading the organization’s financial management and overseeing investment activities. For the past two years, Darling has served as the chief financial officer of Chesterwye Center, a Maryland nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.

As vice president for finance and administration, Darling is a key member of the DCF’s leadership team, overseeing investment and management of the foundation’s $250 million portfolio of charitable assets and working closely with donors, fundholders, and the DCF Board of Directors and committees.

“The DCF is doing remarkable work helping philanthropists maximize their impact on the community,” Darling said. “I’m excited to return to the foundation and play a leadership role in helping advance opportunities for more Delawareans.”

Darling also has worked in financial administration at the nonprofit organizations Kent Center, Inc. and Aspen Institute. Darling holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from the University of Maryland University College and a master’s in nonprofit management from Eastern University.

“We’re happy to welcome Joyce back in this critical role,” DCF President and CEO Stuart Comstock-Gay said. “Her experience at other nonprofit organizations will help us build and maintain the quality of our investments as we evolve. Joyce’s professionalism and attention to detail also will help us ensure that we continue to provide our clients with excellent service.”
