Youth Philanthropy Board –
NEW CASTLE COUNTY
The New Castle County YPB will consider post-secondary readiness and/or mentoring programs that serve teens and young adults in New Castle County, with special consideration for initiatives that:

  • build leadership opportunities,
  • address specific challenges (including homelessness, substance abuse, or violence), or
  • target traditionally underserved populations (including low-income and immigrant youth).

Typical award $1,000 – $2,500 per year

Apply online by January 1, 2019.
Youth Philanthropy Board –
SUSSEX COUNTY

The Youth Philanthropy Board for Sussex County will consider non-profit organizations that focus on mentoring at-risk youth in Sussex County with a preference toward programs supporting those affected by substance abuse, sex trafficking, and/or mental health issues.

Typical award $1,000 – $5,000 per year

Apply online by January 1, 2019.
Youth Philanthropy Board –
KENT COUNTY

The Kent Co. Youth Philanthropy Board will consider organizations that enhance and support youth development in Kent Co., with preference for those which focus on mental health, the arts, hunger and/or agriculture programs.

Typical award $1,000 – $5,000 per year

Apply online by January 1, 2019.
Fund for Women Statewide. Programs relating to health, wellness and life skills that lead to future economic self-sufficiency for girls and women in Delaware. The application will open on
January 1, 2019.
Nanticoke Rotary Club Grant Available to any nonprofit organization, including any qualified school (public or private) on the Delmarva Peninsula, with particular emphasis given to Western Sussex County. All applicants within the Delmarva region will be considered by the Foundation Committee.  No applications will be considered for programs outside of Sussex County. The application will open on
January 1, 2019.
Potter Charity Trust Kent County.  Programs in three areas of focus will be considered for funding:

  • Crisis/Emergency Assistance Funding for basic needs
  • Homelessness
  • Hunger
  • Health Care
The application period is now closed.
African American Empowerment Fund of Delaware AAEFD invites nonprofit organizations in Delaware to apply for a grant.  The grantmaking focus area for 2018 is education, and more specifically, higher education access and retention. The application period is now closed. 
The Next Generation – Southern Delaware Programs serving Kent & Sussex County. Next Gen South is currently raising money to support programs for child mental health services and programs including, but not limited to, victims of abuse, suicide prevention, anti-bullying efforts and to combat teen dating violence. The merits and execution of each program will determine grant selection. The application period is now closed.
Capital grants Statewide. Construction, renovation or repair of buildings, and/or land purchases. Typical award $5,000-$20,000; max. $25,000.

The Next Generation – Northern Delaware New Castle County: Up to $10,000 in grants available to programs that utilize the Arts to support and inspire social change and innovation. Preference is given to programs that provide help to an underserved community. The application period is closed.
Applications for 2018 grants will
be available Spring 2018.
Kent County Fund for the Arts
Kent County. The Kent County Fund for the Arts will award over $20,000 in grants in 2017. Applications are now being accepted from schools, clubs, and civic/community organizations for programs that help to foster growth of arts organizations in Kent County, as well as those organizations that support the arts. The application period is closed.
Applications for 2019 grants will
be available in early 2019.
