Beginning January 1, 2017, the Fund for Women (FFW) at the Delaware Community Foundation will begin accepting applications for its 2017 grants program from Delaware nonprofit agencies with programs benefiting women and girls.FFW Logo

The FFW accepts applications from nonprofit, tax-exempt, (501(c)(3) organizations for programs that address the needs and enhance the worth and potential of women and girls in Delaware by helping them to lead productive, self-sufficient lives. The FFW’s one-year grants offer organizations an opportunity to obtain seed money for innovative, creative programming or to continue or expand programs in which the program’s effectiveness has been demonstrated. No grants are awarded for individuals.

Completed applications are due by January 30, 2017. Only PDF applications are accepted, and should be sent via email to Grants@DeFundforWomen.com. The 2017 grant application form and guidelines are available online at delcf.org/ffw.

The FFW is offering two grant workshops to assist organizations in preparing their applications. Attendance at one of these workshops is optional, and will not affect the grant awards. Historically, organizations that attend the Grant Workshop have a higher success rate in receiving grants. Workshops will be held:

  • Tuesday, December 13, 9:30 AM, Dover Public Library, 35 E Loockerman St. Street, Dover, DE
  • Wednesday, December 14, 9:30 AM, Community Service Building, 100 W. 10th St, Wilmington, DE
